I'm all about supporting community, especially when members are collaborating to benefit others.
Tonight, there is an awesome 'Big Kids' art show at The Studio@620. The show will display and sell the art of Symmes Elementary School students as interpreted by the students of USF Saint Petersburg's Graphic Design program. It's an awesome concept, and the show is free and open to the public.
What's even more rad is that any donations and money from art sales will benefit that family of Esteban, a classmate of the Graphic Design students, whose son, Ryo, was born with a heart defect and needed open-heart surgery after he was born.
The hospital bills were so high that Esteban to take leave of the Graphic Design program in order to work to pay off the bills and care for young Ryo.
The show is from 6-9pm tonight, and more info can be found here!
