Listen to Pearl Jam on iHeartRadio

Pearl Jam Week is officially under way on "Late Night with Jimmy Fallon."  Chris Cornell kicked things off Monday night with a cover of the early Pearl Jam B-side "Footsteps."

The Soundgarden frontman was backed only by his own harmonica and some guitar and banjo accompaniment from Seth and Scott Avett of the Avett Brothers.

Check out what Chris had to say about "Footsteps" and Pearl Jam:

Robin Pecknold of the Fleet Foxes will take the "Late Night" stage Tuesday to keep Pearl Jam week going, while Dierks Bentley and PJ guitarist Mike McCready will perform on Wednesday.

Eddie Vedder and the rest of the band will be there Thursday and Friday as part of the celebration behind the band's new album, Lightning Bolt.
