Thrash metal rockers God Forbid are calling it a day.  Hours after guitarist Doc Coyle declared his exit from the band on Friday, vocalist Byron Davis, drummer Corey Pierce and guitarist Matthew Wicklund took to Facebook with separate posts to announce the end of God Forbid.

Formed in New Jersey in 1996, the band found success with their first full album Reject the Sickness.  Five more albums would follow, ending with last year's Equilibrium

God Forbid has appeared on a number of touring music festivals over the years, including the MTV2 Headbangers Ball tour, Ozzfest and last year's Metal Hammer's "Trespass America Festival" with Five Finger Death Punch, Killswitch Engage and Battlecross.
