Lottery officials warn not to overdo Powerball spending as jackpot moves over $600 million

Powerball fever is sweeping the nation as tomorrow night's jackpot grows to more than a half-billion-dollars.  Iowa Lottery's Mary Neubauer says players shouldn't get too crazy.

She says the jackpots keep growing the astronomical levels due to a couple of changes in the game.  Powerball tickets are now two-dollars instead of one-dollar, and the game is being played in more states than ever before.

Tomorrow night's Powerball jackpot is now up to 600-million-dollars.  That would be the second-largest in U.S. history.  The biggest still belongs to the Mega Millions, which paid out 656-million last year.  That jackpot was split by three tickets in Kansas, Illinois and Maryland.
