TAMPA, FLA (970 WFLA)- A Tampa man charged with kidnapping a 14 year old boy from California has made his first stop in court. The judge has ordered 36 year-old Tony McLeod held without bond.
Police say McLeod befriended the victim on a game console, flew out west and brought him to Tampa. T-P-D Major Brian Dugan says the parents called police in the city of Escondido as soon as their son went missing.
So far, the only charges have been filed in Tampa. Police say McLeod is also accused of interfering with custody and transmission of harmful material to a minor for sending a naked picture on his cell phone.
