Bolts playoff fever in Tampa

Bolts playoff fever in Tampa

TAMPA, Fla. (970 WFLA) - Bolts blue can be found all over Tampa.

In downtown, Mayor Bob Buckhorn donned a Tampa Bay Lightning Jersey and climbed into the bucket of a Tampa fire ladder truck to help hang a giant "Go Bolts!" banner on the side of the city's municipal building.

And he's doing a little trash talking against the Lightning's playoff rival, the Montreal Canadiens.

"We're gonna take it to the Canadiens.  We're gonna beat 'em and we're gonna beat 'em bad.  We're gonna send them back to Canada where they belong."

Game-two of the first-round NHL playoffs is also in Tampa.  Then the best-of-seven series moves to Montreal for a Sunday game-three.

If there is a game-five, it would be played back in Tampa.  Buckhorn says he's not worried about playoff traffic mixed with the thousands of people in town for next week's Bollywood Oscars festival.
