Tampa, Fla.-(970 WFLA)-There has been another bicycle death in Tampa. This time, police say, it appears the rider was at fault.
Tampa Police say 59 year-old Rudolph Moncur of Tampa was riding his bike in the outside lane of Florida Avenue, North, at Bird Street. Investigators say Moncur went against the red light, entered the intersection and was hit by the truck.
Officers say no charges are expected against the driver of the truck. The truck was going through the intersection with a green light when the bike rider darted into the path of the vehicle.
Moncur was transported to St. Joseph's hospital where he was pronounced deceased. Autopsy and toxicology results are pending.
