TALLAHASSEE, Fla (970 WFLA)-The popular "sales tax holiday" for back-to-school shopping is a "go" for the weekend of August 2nd through the 4th.
It was included in the new budget signed by the governor Monday. In past years, the tax break was limited to basic school supplies, clothing and shoes... but this time it includes computers and tablets. John Fleming at the Florida Retail Federation says the schools are going digital and so is the tax break.
There are limits, the tax break does not apply on cell phones or video game consoles.
