Troopers say that somehow the toddler got outside and walked behind the truck without Cruz seeing him.

Pamela Long-Wiggins was found guilty of accessory after the fact in the deaths of Byrd and Melanie Billings and sentenced to 28 years in prison. In her appeal, long-Wiggins argued that she should have been granted immunity in exchange for cooperating with the state. The first district court of appeals rejected her appeal.
