SPRING HILL, Fla. (970 WFLA) – Hernando County deputies said they have arrested and charged a man in connection to a case of stolen Irish style jewelry.
Deputies said earlier this month on Feb. 7., the ‘House of Claddagh’ store on Commercial Way in Spring Hill was burglarized. Deputies said suspect(s) got in by smashing the glass to the front door and then stole approximately $10,000 in Irish style jewelry.
Four days later HCSO said a local pawn broker told deputies he saw the story about the burglary and said a customer sold him some pieces of the ‘Claddagh’ style of jewelry. HCSO said the store owner went to the pawn shop and positively identified the jewelry.
Deputies said they arrested a man and charged him with burglary. Deputies said some jewelry is still unaccounted for.
